Here is a tutorial to learn how to hide some of your memories on Google Photos. The process requires only a few clicks.
Throughout our lives, we come across countless people. Sometimes some photos immortalize these encounters and that's what motivates the Memories feature of Google Photos. Indeed, quite regularly, if you open the application, you'll see small bubbles appear at the top of the interface - just like Instagram stories. These display images that remind you of what you were doing two, three or nine years ago at the same time of year.
So this Memories feature is aptly named and can be a very interesting way to look back with nostalgia to some of the good times of the past. However, sometimes the past does not need to be remembered. Perhaps you don't want to see this or that person's face again when you go to the surface in your Google Photos gallery.
good thing! You can tell the application not to include one or more people in the proposed memories. It is important to know that Google Photos has very powerful facial recognition. Normally, this allows you to classify your photos, but it can also be used to hide people you no longer want to see. We explain how to do this.
How to hide a person from your google photos memories?
The first step to hiding a face from the memories on your Google Photos account is to go to the application's settings. In the menu that appears in front of you, you'll see a Memories section. Tap it.
This submenu allows you to turn off the memories if you simply don't want to see them. For finer adjustments, look for Hide People and Pets.
This will bring you to a mosaic of photos displaying a plethora of faces. These are all the people whose faces have been detected and saved by your Google Photos account.
Then all you have to do is search for the faces of the people you don't want to appear in your Google Photos memories and you're done. A crossed-out eye will appear over the paper clips you've selected.
The interface also states that "hidden faces will not appear in the memories, creations or on your search page. Now you can relax. Of course, you can also simply delete the photos you don't want to see anymore. As long as you can find them again.
