Realme already offers one of the fastest charging technologies on the market, more than 100W is expected
Realme already offers one of the fastest charging technologies on the market, but the company doesn't seem to stop there and is expected to announce a fast charge of more than 100W for its smartphones.
Nothing has been formalized yet, but the presentation could take place at the end of July.
Realm fast charge is pushing the limits
We know the VOOC 4.0 protocol, capable of recharging half of the devices (like the Oppo Find X2) in only 20 minutes. Each manufacturer wants to improve the autonomy and its recharging technologies. Realme could strike hard by the end of July, becoming the first to offer a power of more than 100 W.
Recently, Xiaomicertified a 120 W charger. This time, it is Realme (related company) which would launch its "Ultra Dart" technology, of ... 120W. This charging speed would make it possible to recharge about one third of a 4,000 mAh battery in 3 minutes. A full charge at this rate should take only 10 minutes, although some slowing down is to be expected.
It should be noted that USB-C supports a maximum power of 100W. Today, Realme and Oppo both offer a 65 W fast charger, the best on the market. It takes only 35 minutes to fully charge your device.
According to the tweet behind this information, Realme is expected to announce the Ultra Dart this month. However, the marketing would not be immediate and should concern future smartphones.
A reliable source tells me that #realme’s developing a 100W+ fast charging tech to be revealed in July. It might be called "Ultra Dart" and can charge 1/3rd of a 4000mah+ battery in just 3 mins.— Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) July 9, 2020
As you can see in the image, 11660mA indicates almost 120W of charging speed. pic.twitter.com/tfjJZFHiPx
