After a first half year already rich in new products, the Chinese realme is already preparing to launch a new aircraft. At least in the United States, where a model bearing the reference "RMX2151" has been spotted.
The smartphone has received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance, which gives us access to a few details about its specific features. At first glance, it will be an entry-level smartphone that could be inserted between the realme 6 and the realme 6 Pro.
A realme 6 with more endurance
The documents published by the FCC give many details about the future smartphone of realme. Running on Android 10 and realme UI 1.0, the new device measures 162.35 x 75.46 x 9.45 mm for 198 g. Dimensions very close to the realme 6, although this new model is thicker, probably because of its huge battery.
This battery seems to be well on its way to being the smartphone's main asset. With a capacity of 5,000 mAh (compared to 4,300 mAh on the realme 6 and 6 Pro), it is rechargeable to 30 W.
Powered, like the realme 6 and 6s by a MediaTek Helio G90T, the "RMX2151" confirms its entry-level positioning and should therefore be offered at a rather aggressive price. Note that the smartphone is not 5G compatible, nor Wi-Fi 6.
An unchanged design
In terms of design, the schematic integrated into the FCC documents does not really give us much reason to imagine a smartphone very different from the realm 6, 6s and 6 Pro. We should be dealing with a smartphone with a pierced screen (most likely clocked at 90 Hz), displaying FHD+ definition.
In line with other models in the same range at realme, the fingerprint sensor should find its place on the edge, on the power button of the phone.
Finally, it should be noted that the smartphone has been certified not only in the United States, but also in Indonesia and Russia.
