Fearless premiered on Netflix on 14 August 2020. The movie is directed and written by Cory Edwards.

“Reid, an avid video gamer and overall slacker is about to unlock the hardest video game level on Earth… babysitting“ – Netflix.

Video Game Babies!

If you have seen The Incredibles you would know how much of a trouble maker superhero babies can be considering their superpowers and using them recklessly because, well, they are kids.

The story revolves around Reid, a high-school senior who spends the majority of his time playing video games. He’s a pro-player of the game Planet Master, a sci-fi adventure in which he goes by the username Fe@rless, controlling intergalactic superhero Captain Lightspeed as he battles his way through the devious schemes of green-skinned alien Dr Arcannis.
It’s all fun and games till the time Captain Lightspeed’s 3 children somehow land on Earth in Reid’s backyard and he has to take care of them now as his ultimate mission.
Captain Lightspeed has a huge spectrum of superhero powers and his kids have inherited those powers from them. He has 3 kids – Kira, Xandar and Titus. Kira hasn’t manifested her abilities, but Xander can create any physical item he can imagine, Green Lantern-style, and Titus has super-strength and can channel it into concussive fields.
Fearless does not provide its viewers with a back story of Captain Lightspeed, which universe does he belong to, the deal with his rival or how his universe came into existence. All these questions are unanswered throughout the film.
The movie is good enough to keep pre-teens or kids entertained but as adults, the movie will leave them with unsatisfactory results. There’s hero, anti-hero, superpower, U.S Army but all the movie lacks is depth and background to its story and character. Though the little kids are adorable, it does not work the charm for the movie!
